Some components in the Giving Day platform failed to load for a portion of users between 9:06 and 9:59. The cause of the issue was due to an outage at a third-party CDN service provider. During this time users reported countdown clocks not functioning correctly as well as some landing page sections and leaderboard results failing to load.
The outage at the third-party service has since been resolved, and the Giving Day platform is fully operational. As an additional preventative measure we've implemented a failover process for using alternative CDN providers to mitigate the impact of any future downtime at the provider.
